Get up to $1,500 for having a thermographic analysis done using infra redMC technology!
Thinking about improving the thermal performance of your building’s envelope? To a maximum of $1,500, Gazifère will reimburse 50% of the cost of doing an infra-redMC thermographic analysis of your building.
Using an infra-red camera, the analysis will provide a visual indication of flaws in the building envelope, and enable you to pinpoint air leaks and deficiencies in the insulation.

Financial assistance for the purchase of more efficient heating equipment
Your old boiler is in need of replacement? Gazifère offers its commercial and institutional customers financial assistance for the purchase of a medium efficiency boiler. Depending on the capacity of the new equipment, the amount of financial assistance will vary from $600 to $6,000.

Get financial support from Gazifère for the implementation of energy efficiency measures!
Thinking of renovating or expanding, or putting up a new building? For the implementation of energy-saving measures, Gazifère offers its commercial and institutional customers financial support of 25 ¢ per cubic metre of natural gas saved, to a maximum of 70% of the cost of energy-saving measures, or $10,000, whether for an existing building or the construction of a new one.
What energy-saving measures are eligible?
New buildings
To obtain financial assistance from Gazifère, the owner must be a participant in Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)’s ecoENERGY for Buildings and Houses program (eEBH), which requires that the new building be at least 25% more efficient than if it had been constructed according to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB). Existing buildings
Any initiative involving the use of proven technology to generate natural gas savings is eligible for the program, except:
- measures that relate directly to operations or to consumption habits, and require no capital outlay;
- measures that involve an energy source other than natural gas; and
- measures for which Gazifère has already granted financial assistance under an equipment program.

How to obtain financial support from Gazifère
New buildings
You just have to be a participant in the ecoENERGY for Buildings and Houses program (eEBH). Natural Resources Canada will inform Gazifère what projects are eligible for the eEBH in Gatineau. Gazifère will forward the financial assistance directly to the customer upon receipt of this information.
Existing buildings
To determine the financial assistance you are eligible for, Gazifère will review the feasibility study produced by a professional architect or engineer indicating energy savings that will result from each of the measures to be taken.
