A defective appliance?
Service calls
A problem with one of your natural gas appliances? Before calling, check that the appliance is switched on, that the fuse or circuit breaker it is connected to is in working order, and that the problem is not due to a dirty or clogged filter. If that does not solve the problem, call us at 819 771-8321, and press 6. A technician will come to your home, usually within four hours. However, depending on the weather and the volume of incoming calls, you will understand that some kinds of request have to be given priority.
If the situation resolves itself while you are waiting for our technician, or you have to go out, call us right away to cancel the service call.
Appliance maintenance
To get the best out of your natural gas appliances, regular maintenance is essential. For your own comfort and to save on energy costs, follow the advice in our section Safety and maintenance.
Relighting appliances
After a meter shut-off or a service interruption, your natural gas appliances will need relighting. Contact Customer Service at 819 771-8321 and press 6 to make an appointment for a technician to visit.
You're moving?

You're about to become a customer?
Moving to a new house or apartment that has Gazifère service? As soon as you know when you will be taking possession, contact Customer Service at 819 771-8321 and press 6, or use our online form. Opening an account takes just a few minutes. There is a charge of $20 to open a new account.

Two ways of paying
To facilitate payment of your natural gas bill and simplify your budgeting, Gazifère offers two payment plans:
Budget Billing Plan
To simplify your budgeting, Gazifère suggests you sign on to our Budget Billing Plan (BBP). It's simple and practical, and allows you to spread the total cost of your annual natural gas consumption over twelve monthly payments, from September to August. No more surprises!
When you join the BBP, we will determine the amount of your monthly payment. To reflect your consumption and any variation in the cost of natural gas, your monthly payment is revised twice a year; between March and April, and in September, when Gazifère calculates the payment for the following year.
If you lease natural gas appliances from Gazifère, the leasing charges cannot be included in your BBP payment.
There is absolutely no charge for joining the BBP, and you may cancel at any time, without cost. For more information, contact a Customer Service representative by dialing 819-771-8321 and pressing 6, or e-mail us at info@gazifere.com.
Note that joining the BBP does not automatically result in a pre-authorized debit from your bank or credit union account. For that, you must also join our Pre-Authorized Payment Plan.
Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
Simplify, simplify! When you sign up for our Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PAP), the amount of your natural gas bill will be withdrawn from your account on the due date each month. You will continue receiving your monthly bill, stating the amount to be debited from your account.
Join the Plan now by completing the form below. There is no charge for joining the PAP, and you may cancel at any time without cost. For more information, contact a Customer Service representative by dialing 819-771-8321 and pressing 6.

Leasing
When you decide to lease natural gas equipment from Gazifère, you avoid the cost of purchasing it, and there are many other advantages:
- There is no large outlay for the purchase and installation of your new appliance.
- As long as you lease, everything is guaranteed! Maintenance and repair are taken care of by Gazifère, at no charge to you.
- Our technicians are at your service 24 hours a day.
Rates
The leasing charge for a natural gas water heater can be as low as $10.39 a month. The charge for a furnace starts at $31.95 a month.

The Gazifère Protection Plan
If you own your heating, we invite you to subscribe to our Protection Plan. For as little as $99.95 a year, the Plan will cover labour costs as well as replacement costs for most heating unit parts. Natural gas prices reflected in your bill
Gazifère is a natural gas distribution company. It buys supplies of natural gas, which it resells to its customers at the same price it paid. Like you, Gazifère has every interest in seeing the natural gas prices remain as low as possible.
Your natural gas bill consists mainly of three components: a monthly fixed charge, the delivery charge and the natural gas supply charge. The supply of natural gas accounts for about half of your bill. This means that an increase in gas prices is not reflected in a similar percentage increase in your bill. For example, if the gas supply charge increases by 10%, your bill will increase by only 5%.
