Infrared radiant heating targets specific areas instead of heating the air in general. This technology is mainly used in buildings with high ceilings, such as warehouses, garages, arenas and churches.

Gazifère offers $100 in financial assistance for natural gas infrared heating units with a capacity of under 100,000 BTUs (British Thermal Units) and $250 for units with capacities equal to or greater than 100,000 BTUs.

You can make arrangements for installation by any licensed natural gas contractor, but Gazifère proposes three authorized agents that specialize in the installation of natural gas appliances:

Are you a natural gas contractor? Receive $50*

To encourage contractors in the region to promote the use of this appliance, Gazifère will pay, for each accepted application, $50 * to the contractor responsible for installing the infrared heating unit.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

STEP 1: SEND US YOUR PRE-ADMISSION FORM
In order to receive the financial assistance offered by Gazifère, you will need pre-admission approval before the appliance is installed.

STEP 2: OBTAIN GAZIFÈRE’S APPROVAL

Gazifère will confirm receipt of the pre-admission form within 10 working days. Gazifère processes pre-admissions on a first come, first served basis, and depending on the availability of funds.

STEP 3: ARRANGE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW APPLIANCE

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

You must include :

  • The technical data sheet
  • The invoice for the purchase of the appliance with your application.

The invoice must be dated in the current year. The model number of the installed appliance and the date of installation must be indicated. The date of installation must be later than your pre-admission.

STEP 5: OBTAIN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Gazifère will review your application. If information is missing, we will contact you promptly.

You will be informed in writing as to whether your application for financial assistance has been approved or turned down. If approved, the amount will be indicated, and a cheque will be mailed to the address provided on the pre-admission form.
